Regenexx® Stem Cell and Blood Platelet Procedures
Our office has a state of the art Regenexx lab for processing of autologous (patient’s own) platelets and stem cells for regenerative injections. This enables us to make very high concentration acellular (no white or red cells) platelet rich plasma, concentrate bone marrow to isolate high levels of stem cells, and process fat from lipoaspiration.
We are the only facility in New England offering Regenexx cell based treatments. All of these can be injected into damaged spinal and extremity joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and around nerves to stimulate growth, repair and regeneration. The use of these cell-based regenerative treatments has become very common in national and international professional sports medicine, with many players in football, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, skiing, etc. receiving treatment.
Regenexx PL-Disc offers an alternative to steroid epidurals and spine surgery for sciatica, radiculopathy, and spinal stenosis.
We are now able to offer a cutting-edge non-surgical alternative for carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve entrapment at the elbow (cubital tunnel), and other nerve entrapment syndromes. The treatment involves releasing the nerve from its adhesions and compression by forcing fluid between the nerve and its restrictors via ultrasound guided injection. It is called neuroplasty or hydro-dissection and has a very high success rate as well as a low complication rate, making it a first choice when surgery is being considered. Adding Regenexx PL to the injection also helps heal the damaged nerve.
